The Hawaii State PTSA sponsors two long standing and highly respected programs of the National PTA.
Reflections
Reflections is a National PTA arts education and recognition program and is sponsored annually by the Hawaii State PTSA. All local PTA and PTSA units in good standing may participate in Reflections. NEW 2007-2008 Reflections Program Theme Announced: "I Can Make a Difference by ..."
Building Successful Partnerships (BSP)
A continuous and ongoing program to promote parent, family, and community involvement in the schools.Any individual, organization, or business entity (not just local PTA or PTSA units) may request a program presentation by one of our many trained BSP presenters
In addition, the following state awards are offered to recognize individuals who have made significant contributions or local units that have demonstrated creativity and uniqueness in program planning for the benefit of children and youth in our schools and surrounding communities.
Hawaii State PTSA Honorary Lifetime Membership Award
The highest PTSA Award in Hawaii given to an individual who has made significant contributions to the welfare of children and youth in the school or community – applications accepted year-round
Admiral Jefferson Student Community Service Award
Awarded to a student who has made significant contributions to his/her community and has shown outstanding civic responsibility – applications accepted year-round
Creative Membership Award
Deadline January 31 of each year
Health and Safety Award
Deadline March 1 of each year
Reading Literacy Award
Deadline April 1 of each year
TEAM Awards
Together Everyone Achieves Membership – deadline March 1 of each year
