Leadership Training
Saturday, September 1, 2007
9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Salt Lake Elementary School (Library)
1131 Ala Lilikoi Street
Honolulu, Hawaii 96818
PLEASE do not call the school for training information. Contact information is shown below.
As an ongoing service to our local units, leadership training is offered at no cost to local unit board members, committee chairs, and parent volunteers who serve in some shape or form in a PTA capacity. We encourage you to take advantage of this opportunity to meet members of the state board and get many of your questions answered. You may have questions about membership, finance, OMDR, or your roles and responsibilities as a local unit board member. Whatever your concerns, this will be the place to have them addressed.
More importantly, leadership training is an opportunity for you and your fellow board members to:
-
learn more about boardsmanship and what your role and responsibilities are as a local unit leader
-
hear about what’s happening in the advocacy & legislative arenas
-
learn more about available State & National PTA programs, including Reflections
-
get suggestions on building a network of advocates with a solid membership development program
-
find out about awards and recognition programs your PTA may be eligible for
-
obtain valuable resources, including program, membership and leadership materials
Call to RSVP no later than August 29, 2007 or download a leadership training response form and fax to Sharon Weathers at 356-0357.

To all local unit board members,
Your region is still without a region director and it is a position that we would like to fill immediately. If you've served on a board at the local unit level (or in some other leadership capacity) and are looking for a challenging, yet rewarding, opportunity to serve on the Hawaii State PTSA board, we'd like to hear from you.
